Embracing my feminine side in a tulle skirt

Hey, Belles! Hope all of you had a great long weekend! I was on a shopping spree all this while and have found a really chic top for my tulle skirt. This bell sleeve top has become the favourite of this month.

It is the sale season everywhere and I could not resist myself from shopping even after I realised that I have almost maxed out my cards.

I have bought most items as mentioned in the what to shop in a sale blog post. This helps me to buy right stuffs during a sale. Along with this list, I have tried to stick to my another post, which is 20 closet essentials for a woman.

My lucky pick

Sometimes, when we are really lucky enough to get trendy, classy and new stuff on even a sale.

I have been looking for a sassy yet chic top for my tulle skirt since long. I was damn lucky to get this pink mesh frilled top at a discount for just Rs. 850.

The ruffled neck is so perfect and eye catching. I am obsessed with this shade of pink. If someone tells you baby pink is for kids they haven’t got a right top yet. The ruffled neck detail is a darling.

The perfect feminine combo

I have had this tulle skirt for over two years and doubt I’ll ever get rid of it. I have paired it with tees many a time in the past. Yes, I never came up with a blog in that combo because already many celebrities have worn it. Also, so many bloggers/vloggers have featured it on their blog.

Yes, I never came up with a blog in that combo because already many celebrities have worn it. Also, so many bloggers/vloggers have featured it on their blog.

I always wanted to come with a different look and combination which is yet unseen. I rarely dress in such feminine piece but the ruffles make this the “it” top for me.

Coupled with the colour this is probably one of the girliest tops I own, so I wear it when I want to feel extra pretty like today.

Accessorising the tulle skirt

This lovely tulle skirt and top are netted ones so I decided to wear my cute netted bellies with them.  You can pair them with high heels as well to add a flair to your walk.

I got the bejewelled headband and choker necklace from Forever 21 and guess what, they were on sale as well!

Tulle all the way!

Tulle skirts are the perfect combination of feminine and classy chic. They have been gaining in popularity and are no longer just for special occasions or formal events.

In fact, tulle skirts are incredibly versatile pieces that can be styled for any occasion! I pair them with any kind of tops and tees. This look was one of them.

Do let me know in the comment section below what do you feel about this feminine and chic look.

Until the next time! Stay classy!

Collagen Face and Eye Masks – Ft. Mond’Sub India

Hey There! I am back with another face sheet mask review. They do wonders to our skin in just 15 minutes. In this fast moving world and hectic life, I love quirky products.

I have become a huge fan of face mask sheets in a very short time.

If you want to know more about face sheet mask and how to use them, go to my The Face Shop mask sheet review here.

I didn’t want to just duplicate my work because I have a lot to share about these products I have received from Mond’Sub India.

About Mond’Sub India

Mond’Sub India has an exhaustive range of facials mask sheets and eye masks. You can find gold facial masks, collagen masks, whitening masks, rejuvenating masks etc. and a lot more on the site.

So in case you are looking for something in particular for your skin, you can spot it just by the name. For me, it helps a lot if the product’s name itself specifies the goodness and purpose of the product.

The Mond’Sub Collagen Silk Mask Series experience

Due to stressful life and exposure to the sun and pollution, everyone is prone to wrinkles at an earlier age than the previous generation. This mask is designed especially for dry skin, mature or prematurely ageing skin.

My skin is oily and acne prone. A few days back I started popping antibiotics to get rid of my acne. I am now acne free but my skin looks dull and dry. So I was looking for hydrating products to nourish my skin.

I applied this mask for 15 minutes and rinsed the face afterwards. The serum gets absorbed quickly so you don’t have to leave it for long.

I may not be able to vouch for the efficacy of the product as I have used it for just once. Usually, you need to use such products regularly for desired results.

Rating 3.5/5

Bio- Gold Collagen Eye Mask Review

I loved this product! It is super relaxing for eyes. Due to the use of harsh eye makeup, I sometimes feel that I am getting fine wrinkle lines.

I would definitely buy this product again. I used it before going to bed and I could feel the difference the next morning. This product serves what it promises – minimising eye bags and removing dark circles instantly.

Rating: 4/5

Will I buy them again?

I would probably not buy the mask sheet for 2 reasons:

  • I already have lots of mask sheets to be used
  • I find it expensive for regular use( P.S. I would prefer night creams for regular use and carry these sheets for an instant effect sometimes)

I would definetly buy eye mask and use them at least once in a month.

Until the next time! Stay flawless!

Lost in my rosy and chocolaty world

Hey Peeps! Before you feel this blog is about some new chocolate or flower shop, I should kill the suspense right here. This blog post is about those days when I am in my deep thoughts and don’t actually want to get dressed up.

Sweatshirts, jeans and sneakers are my childhood to go outfits. I have been loving them since forever. I wish crop sweatshirts were in trend back in the days. Well, it’s never too late or early in the world of fashion.

The lovely Bangalore weather

It was drizzling in Bangalore yesterday and suddenly temperature dropped again. All of a sudden my husband calls up and asks for a pizza dine out.

Ugh! I was not in a mood to get dressed up but definitely, I didn’t want to go out in my pajamas because of the weather (PS: I don’t mind wearing pajamas while going out. As long as I am comfortable everything is fine for me).

The perpetual closet struggle

And then, when I opened my closet, I was a little confused again on what to wear. You know it’s the biggest struggle for a woman whether she wants to get dressed up or not, once you open your wardrobe confusion creeps in.

And then my hungry husband asks why are you always lost in your rosy and chocolaty world. Wear a sweatshirt and jeans and let’s go! Problem solved. I wish he gives me advice every time.

Roses and Chocolates

So, I decided to wear rose pink all over because it was about my rosy and chocolaty day. I paired my rose pink sweatshirt by H & M with a black cutout pair of jeans and rose pink sneakers.

Wait! I was not done as where was the chocolate? Oh yes, look at my earrings! I spotted these candy earrings in my junk jewellery box. Then my eyes fall on that jute bag my sister-in-law gifted me from her Mauritius trip. Again it is beautifully striped in rose pink.

Real Nature Lemon Face Mask Review

Hey There! Summer has given way to monsoons and with it comes humidity coupled with the heat. Facial skin care is more important than ever before. Using a face mask is a quick and sure shot way to get your skin the nourishment it needs.

Nowadays, every brand is launching these face masks. It is a hard decision to choose the most suitable one for your skin and bright packaging is so often tempting and misleading.

Still, you got to start somewhere and I decided to give the ones available on naykaa.com a try. I have bought 6 different masks by The Face Shop and will be sharing a separate review for each of them as and when I use them.

About the Face Shop

The face shop is a South Korean skin care and cosmetics manufacturer and retailer. Its products include body, bath, skin care and make-up aimed for both women and men. So the next time when you go looking for a total body care solution you know where to look.

The face mask sheet

Face mask sheet- Namrata- Bangalore Based Indian Fashion Blogger

Before I start reviewing Real Nature Longan Face Mask, I would like to give brief detail about the mask sheet.

Unlike wash off face masks, mask sheets are made of a thick cloth or paper mask that is cut in the shape of a face to cover it up with slits for eyes, nose and the mouth. The masks are soaked in essence and are meant for single use.

How to use it?

  • Apply it over a clean face (unfold the mask carefully)
  • Leave it on for 15-20 minutes and then gently remove it
  • Don’t wash your face right now! Allow the serum to get absorbed in your skin
  • Its effect can be enhanced by placing the mask in the fridge before use

The result

For now, I have tried the face mask with lemon extract. Franky speaking, it is not something that will change your skin entirely. However, it definitely, brightens and adds a fresh glow to dull skin tone.

It’s the quickest way to pamper your skin and gives the result in less than 20 minutes. I could feel the brightness and softness of my skin instantly. In short, I can say that it’s an express spa for the face.

Price: Rs 100 per sheet (20 gm)

Rating: 4/5

Will I get it again?

Maybe! I am not sure about it because I was on a face mask haul and have purchased 10 mask sheets of 6 different kinds. I will be using one face mask each week so that I don’t have to replenish my stock for 10 weeks.

My recommendation

It’s a good product and serves what it promises. It is basically for hydration and skin brightening. So if somebody is looking for more out of this face mask, it is not meant for them.

I would definitely recommend it to those who are looking for at home quick hydration and skin brightening.

Where to buy?

I actually do not want to criticise any website or question its pricing policy. When I was looking for mask sheets by The Face Shop, I noticed a huge price difference in price – Amazon.in sells these masks at Rs 599 per sheet whereas  naykaa.com  sells it for Rs 100 per sheet. Phew!

I have bought them from naykaa.com. If you buy it from nakyaa.com now, if you buy 5, you get 5 free. Try them out!

Save Money The Smart Way

Hey there! Has it ever happened to you that you that you have planned something big and it seems far-fetched as you were not able to save money for your big plans?

For sure, we cannot avoid some uncalled situation or emergencies. But we can actually save a lot by paying a little attention and avoiding unnecessary expenses. In this post, I will be sharing few tips I have started following myself recently.

Want vs Need

Online shopping has definitely made out lives easier. But, sometimes we shop on the spur of the moment. Maybe, just to kill boredom and later regret buying stuff that we really don’t need.

To avoid such a situation delete all shopping apps from your phone and unsubscribe from their mails too!

Trust me when you need them you can either download those apps or visit their sites. If you are in a real hurry you can visit the shop directly and buy them.

Carry Cash

When you go out to dine, buy groceries, or just to buy sundry stuff, try to use cold hard cash instead of a debit or credit card.

When you use cash, you have an emotional attachment to the physical material paper. You see it slipping away from your hands and it makes a world of difference!

Save!

A wise person once said – A penny saved is a penny earned. It couldn’t be stated more clearly!

Opt for Recuring deposit right on the 1st day of the month. Set it up so that 7-10% of your earnings go directly to that account before being available for you to spend.

Limit the Parlour Bills

Try to use home remedies or buy facial kits and use it yourself instead of going to a beauty salon. I do facial, pedicure and manicure by myself.

If you really cannot avoid beauty salon, look for deals. Use the Nearbuy app to find deals for beauty and hair care in your neighbourhood.  Don’t fall into beauty salon upselling.

Don’t fall into a beauty salon’s upselling tricks. You pay for what you want to buy not what they are willing to sell you!

Cut down on eating out

Learn how to cook – it’s really not that hard. There are numerous Youtube videos to help and you can start with simple recipes like just rice and dal!

Not only is it good for your purse but also for your overall health. Since I have made a point to eat most of my meals at home, I have seen a marked improvement in my waistline and even skin.

Conclusion

I am sure, I am not alone in this journey. Each one of you has his/her own way of saving their hard earned money. Let me know your preferred way.

A short dress in chilly weather! Why not?

Hey There!  Bangalore’s weather has changed in last few days and I am totally in love with this weather. Shrugs are a perfect cold weather layering garment for this season. They bring  just enough extra warmth without weighing you down or covering a beautiful dress.

I received this dress as a birthday gift. By the time I could plan to wear it over the weekend, the weather was out of control.

On one hand, I was happy about the chilly weather, whereas, on the other hand, I was feeling sad that I would have to wait for another summer to wear this dress.

This navy blue dress by Miss Chase is so chic and stylish. The fabric of this dress is so lightweight and comfortable. It can be worn on any occasion. Those two pockets at the front are versatile and you need not worry about wearing a pair of jeans just to have pockets in your outfit.

I chose to wear it with my favourite studded brogues. Remember the 20 wardrobe essentials post where I was talking about brogues as well. I love wearing brogues.

Unfortunately, I haven’t shared any blog post till date in my brogues. As soon as I received this navy sheath dress by Miss Chase, my brogues were on my mind.

Those who are my regular readers must have sensed my love for shoes over sandals. Well, what’s wrong in being stylish without losing comfort.

To protect myself from changing climate and keep warm, I covered myself with this beautiful baby pink coloured shrug by forever 21.

I purchased this shrug in the month of January so I am not sure you can find the same shrug in forever 21 stores now. They have a great collection of shrugs. You can go for some different colour in case you don’t find this one.

You can also go for this look in case you have a hill station summer vacation on your mind.

In short, I just wanted to show a look where you can look sassy without sacrificing comfort and warmth. Do let me know in the comment section below what do you feel about this look.

Orange Bath Salt feat Nature’s Co.

Hey Peeps! I have been asked by many of readers to write a few reviews and monthly favourites. To be honest I am very loyal to the products I have been using and rarely try new toiletries. Although, I experiment a lot with cosmetics and buy whatever attracts me at that point.

I have received an Orange bath salt by Nature’s Co. recently and I was little hesitant to use this because I have never used such a product earlier. Moreover, I have sensitive skin so before using it I did my research and then tested this product by using it for a pedicure.

After using this product I am sharing my experience so that if you are interested in buying a good bathing salt but hesitant to take a plunge, you can take your call.

About Orange Bath Salt

orange bath salt- Namrata- Bangalore based Indian fashion blogger

Before I could use bath salt I found about a bit more about the product as I was a first time user. So for those who don’t what bath salt is, it is a mix of water-soluble grounded minerals,  used to enhance your bathing experience.

It helps to clean, uplift your senses and detoxify, enhancing the quality of your skin with a natural glow. It even relaxes and rejuvenates, helping to fight against stress and fatigue.

My Experience with Bath Salt

orange bath salt- Namrata- Bangalore based Indian fashion blogger

It was a Thursday evening and I had been already worn down by a hectic week. The jar of Orange bath salt, lying on my dressing table was inviting me to try it out. I filled my bucket with warm water and poured two tablespoons of the bath salt in it.

The objective was to relax by soaking my feet in hot water and try out a new product. It not only relaxes your body but softens your skin as well. Soaking up the aroma infused my senses with a fresh feeling. I have become a huge fan of Nature’s Co. bath salt.

The only issue I found is I don’t have a bathtub so maybe I could not use it in an intended way. I would still recommend it to people who are looking for a great bathing salt to relax and rejuvenate.

It costs Rs 995 for 325 grams. I got a sample product container which is 35 grams and I think I will be able to use for more than 12 times. I must say its value for money, a regular jar would last you many times over.

Until next time!

There is something special about off shoulder dresses. They are chic, feminine, flirty and fun. The off-shoulder trend is booming since over a year. I am one of the biggest fans of this trend.

My Favourite Summer Picks From Shein

Hey Belles! How have you been? I was a bit occupied all this while and could not come up with a new blog post. I shall try to do justice this month by writing more. If you are my regular reader or know me personally,  you would have got to know that I lean towards western wear.

Any outfit I wear looks effortless often but trust me takes really long to put together a perfect outfit.

I was browsing through few international brands online which are now available in India and I was impressed by Shein’s collection.  Digging deeper into the site, I had an urge to buy almost everything.

Trust me I am not exaggerating. Budget constraint and closet capacity would not allow me to indulge.

Still, if I had to choose my pick in the site, what would it be? I am going to mention all of them and the reason.

Red and black is a classic combination for us Indians and we love to wear this combination. Applique work is so much in trends these days and I have already purchased a cute meme-themed appliqué dress. Still, I was looking for a bold and vivacious outfit. If you have not purchased one yet go for this combination. Moreover, LBD can never be outdated and every girl needs one.
